Cu-Zn Massive Sulfide Ores
Deposits in the Matagami VMS camp constituted the basis of research by W.H. MacLean and co-workers on the formulation of mass and volume change relations in altered rocks.
Matagami volcanic stratigraphy was dissected in detail into tholeitic, transitional and calc-alkaline sequences, and the paleostratigraphic and paleotopographic distributions of the VMS deposits were determined.
