Because of the strong alteration in this area, the map units have been defined by Boliden geologists mainly on the basis of alteration mineral assemblages. The Einarsson Zone comprises semi-massive py + cp ± po ± mag, and is commonly richer in Cu and Au than the A and B massive sulfide horizons to the north. Small lenses of massive py ± cp are also present in the Einarsson Zone.
