Figure 2. Geological section at 1960E, Kristineberg mine, showing the
Einarsson Zone mineralization, which lies just to the south of the B
massive sulfide horizon. Because of the strong alteration in this area,
the map units have been defined by Boliden geologists mainly on the
basis of alteration mineral assemblages. The Einarsson Zone comprises
semi-massive py + cp ± po ± mag, and is commonly richer in Cu and Au
than the A and B massive sulfide horizons to the north. Small lenses
of massive py ± cp are also present in the Einarsson Zone. |
