Primary units in the intervening area are shown in Figure 8. Mass changes are in wt % and have been calculated using the multiple precursor method of MacLean (1990). Areas of mass gain are shown in blue (cooler alteration) and areas of mass loss in red (hotter alteration). Mass changes of <10 wt % are not coloured. A zone of strong silica addition lies to the north of the A massive sulfide horizon, while strong silica loss occurs immediately to its north and south. Between the A and B sulfide horizons, several zones of silica mass loss are present, but much of this area shows only minor silica alteration.
